  • What does the $99 / $149 actually cover?
    Unlimited quotes, unlimited customers, unlimited templates. Stripe processing fees are passed through at cost — 2.9% + 30¢ per card, $3 flat per ACH — and they show up on your Stripe dashboard, not your claroquote bill. No per-quote charge, no per-customer charge, no paywalled feature.
  • Can I cancel any time?
    Yes, from the app. No phone call, no retention offer. You keep access through the end of your current billing cycle. Exported quotes (PDFs) stay yours forever.
  • Do I need a contractor's license to use it?
    No. A license number adds trust to a quote, so we ask for it during onboarding — but it's optional. Unlicensed handymen, general contractors, and one-truck shops all sign up the same way.
  • How do my customers pay — do they need an account?
    No account. The quote link opens a normal mobile webpage; they approve, tap Apple Pay / Google Pay / ACH, and the deposit routes to your Stripe Connect account. First card entry is the only friction.
  • What about sales tax — do I have to figure it out?
    Set a tax rate in your shop settings once. Every quote applies it automatically. Override it on a specific job if you need to. ZIP-level automatic lookup is on the roadmap; for now, the rate you set is the rate you use.
  • Can I add my crew without paying per seat?
    Yes — that's why Team exists. One price, unlimited teammates. Add your estimator, your bookkeeper, your son who answers the phone. Each gets their own login and role (field / office / estimator).
  • Does it work on an iPhone in a crawlspace?
    It's designed for that. Mobile-first, big tap targets, offline-tolerant on flaky connections, no tiny-keyboard data entry for the customer. If your phone works, claroquote works.
  • What if I don't have a price book yet?
    We seed every account with a starter catalog for your trade — real line items with plain-language descriptions. First time you send a quote you'll have something to tap; you can edit, delete, or add your own as you go.
